Kevin Glover
Role of Senior Financial Adviser and Principal
Joned the Financial Service Industry in 1989 cutting my teeth in banking and largely cashiering and other customer facing roles. Went into regulated financial advice in 1994 including roles with Refuge Assurance, Pearl Assurance and Lloyds Bank before starting work with The Derbyshire Building Society as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2003. Redundancy led to opportunities to start my own business in 2009 when Belper IFS was born!
What do you like about your role:
The variety and breadth of the role including advising as well as running and building a successful small business. Working with my fantastic Team of Advisers, Paraplanners and Administrators. However, the time spent with my clients is the best part of the Adviser role. I like to talk but listening is even more important.
Outside of Work:
Travel, walks, football, family time and my granddaughter
Pets:
Molli and Reg who are the office guard dogs and furry living creatures I walk daily. Plus lots of unnamed Koi!
Kids/Grandkids:
Two grown-up daughters – Anni and Marina, two more ladies I am responsible for (sort of) belonging to my partner and now my beautiful Granddaughter Gianna.
